The Last Six

The time is drawing near, and we have reached an exciting point. God has provided 45 prayer partners, 9 churches and 90 individuals who have joined our team! We have reached 94% of our support and have begun the departure process with our organization. Our visa application process is also well underway.

However, in order to depart for Spain we must be 100% funded. So we’ve decided to set aside these next three weeks as a concentrated time of prayer for the last 6%. Would you join us in prayer over these 21 days that God would provide our remaining financial support? We will send out subsequent emails as the three-week countdown progresses.

We are honored to be sent by you to do exciting work ahead. Thank you for praying for us as we do the work of preparing!

Current FAQ’s

How are things going in Illinois?
We are grateful for East White Oak Bible Church and all they have done for us since we arrived two months ago. We are enjoying getting to know wonderful people who are excited about God’s work around the world. It is also a treat to be near family and friends whom we have not been able to see as often in recent years.
What are you doing these days?
We are sharing about Spain, working on Spanish, studying Spain itself and how to transition well to another culture, grieving aspects of our life that are no more, connecting with East White Oak and other churches and individuals in Illinois, and communicating with our 150-person support team. Even though we’re not in Spain yet, there’s much work to be done!
When are you leaving?
Our goal is to leave in April. This is dependent upon our financial needs, approval from WorldVenture, and our visa. We are excited to notify you as we make progress.

Recent Events

We participated in Village Bible Church’s Missions Conference January 15-17.
After Village’s conference, we flew to Denver for our final pre-departure training at WorldVenture headquarters.

Though we’re specifically asking for concentrated prayer support for our financial goals, we also need prayer support for the other very important aspects of this preparatory time. We have really been learning that even now, in what may appear to be “just” an interim, significant groundwork for our work on the mission field is being laid. Your prayers are very important as we go through this sometimes strange, almost-but-not-yet period of growth and preparation for the very big changes to come.
